Education for Social Justice

This course employes limited interactive class meetings with technology-mediated instruction including on-line discussion, independent work, web page development, blogging and podcasting to interrogatge the relationship between education and the concept of social justice. Emphasis will be placed on the value, impact, and difficulty of implementing social action and social justice activities within the contemporary school classroom. An additional credit may be available through this course for students pursuing summer work, community service, and/or internships in a social justice capacity.
