INFO FOR AUGUST & DECEMBER 2007 GRADUATES

AU’s commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 11, 2008 celebrate our students who graduated in August 2007 and December 2007, as well as those who are expected to graduate in May 2008.

President’s Reception
On Friday, December 7, 2007, President Kerwin will host a reception for August and December 2007 graduates.  Each graduate may bring up to four guests.  Invitations were mailed in late October to students’ local addresses.  Responses are due December 4, 2007.  Call 202-885-2430 or email commencement@american.edu for more information.

Diplomas
Once grades have been recorded and the student’s record checked to ensure that all university and degree requirements have been met, diplomas will be printed.  August 2007 graduates receive diplomas throughout fall semester.  December 2007 graduates receive diplomas during the spring.

Ordering Caps & Gowns
August and December graduates will receive a postcard in mid-March containing instructions to order regalia.  Orders should be placed via the my.american portal prior to the April 4 deadline.
