The Audio Technology Program in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a one-year non-tenure track instructor of Audio Technology position beginning Fall 2008. Qualified candidates should have a bachelor’s degree with peer-reviewed award (e.g. Grammy or Academy Award) or master’s degree in audio technology or closely related field. Candidates should also have practical experience as a recording engineer, preferably with a published, commercially available portfolio. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses for majors, such as sound studio techniques, digital audio workstations, and mixing and mastering; student advising; and departmental and university service.
