The Department of Computer Science offers multiple degree programs and concentrations providing individual attention and flexibility, project-oriented coursework, and unsurpassed prospects for graduate school and careers:

• Individual Attention: Last year, 100% of our students worked on independent study projects one-on-one with professors. Students explored robotics, data mining, graphics, and computer vision.
• Rigorous, Creative Coursework: Want to write your own operating system? Design a taxicab dispatch system? Wire together a computer? Most of our courses are project-focused and give our students plenty of hands-on experience.
• Internships & Career Diversity: IBM, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Datatel Corp, and Lehman Brothers are just a few examples of where our recent graduates and students are working. Our D.C. location affords students unparalleled access to world-class research institutions, prestigious internship opportunities, and career paths.
• Flexibility: Two-thirds of our students are double majors or have a minor in another field. Our program encourages students to pursue their own area of interest.
