WAMU is the leading public radio station for National Public Radio news and information in the greater Washington, D.C. area, and one of the top three in the country.
WAMU's format, programming, and syndicated shows have attracted a loyal following of listeners in the metropolitan area and around the world. With a focus on public affairs, regional concerns, and national and international news, WAMU presents issues that reflect the heart of the university's mission to a broad listening public.
As we work to retain our base of listeners and secure our prominent position in D.C. and the nation, the campaign will expand support for relevant, thought-provoking programming.
