Chemi Montes-Armenteros

MFA in Graphic Design, The Pennsylvania State University. BA in Graphic Design and Audiovisual Media, University of Salamanca, Spain. As part of his academic experience, Chemi taught design at Penn State during his graduate studies and continued to do so full time after obtaining his degree. His professional experience encompasses print, video and film graphics and web design. A combination of agency and freelance practice has allowed Chemi to work with clients such as Mitsubishi Corporation, Eastman Chemical, Dupont, WholehealthMD.com, Penn State University, Schering Plough, and several other advertising and design firms. His work has received awards in design competitions and juried annuals, as well as appearing in several design books and design periodicals, including Applied Arts, How and Print. He also has published writings on design and semiotics, one of his areas of research.

Kate Resnick

MFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University. While at VCU, Kate was selected to teach undergraduate Graphic Design courses. She has worked in both design firms and publishing houses, with clients such as the Discovery Channel, PBS, and Atlantic Monthly as both a print designer and an interactive and web designer. Her research bridges psychology and design—focusing on the neurological, perceptual and psychological involvement in both the creative process, development and understanding of visual communication and design.

Linsey Silver

MFA in Design, California College of Arts and Crafts. BA in Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics and Government, American University. Linsey's work bridges the fields of design and political communications. Her work includes print, installation and exhibit design. Linsey's most recent publication, articulation, a study of the standardization of the form of the book and its impact, was featured at the Book Conference 2003 in Cairns, Australia. While completing her graduate studies at CCAC she taught courses in Information Design and audience-centered graphic design.
