Grandiose displays of fireworks, parades, and concerts are hallmarks of celebrating the Fourth of July. According to James Heintze, American University librarian emeritus, little has changed since 1776 in terms of how we celebrate America's birthday.

Student orientation makes big changes to go green

Orientation folders

Half a ton of paper is being saved this year as New Student Orientation goes green. Students still get all the information they need. But now they get it in a form that saves trees, preserves energy, doesn't end up in the wastebasket, and is inspiring students to applaud.
