National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) Report
The well-respected 2002 NSSE Report ranks AU in the 90th percentile for "Level of Academic Challenge" and "Student Interactions with Faculty." AU is the top scoring national university for "Active and Collaborative Learning" and "Enriching Education Experiences."

Accreditation

American University is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools and is recognized by the University Senate of the United Methodist Church.
